Not that this rum was aged excessively long but I found this bottle in my cellar the other day (I must have forgotten it down there when moving to this place), and it certainly does have a certain patina to it. I shall ascertain quite soon whether the contents are still palatable and potable or not!

An Old Bottle of Rum

Sadly, spirits of this sort do not really improve with age since they are in a glss vessel....but unless the seal or capis broken..it should be fine...
Fortunately, it was still drinkable.
That's how a bottle of rum should look! And I can see that it has already made some great friends. Ardbeg, Old Pulteney and Balveine if I'm correct ;)
You are very peceptive! ;)
Wow LSS did the shock give you superpowers? Almighty, I'm impressed!! :-)
VB this is a superb find, what else dyou got in your basement?
Theres a westphalian saying:
"Die Westfalen gehen zum Lachen in den Keller, ...weil da das Bier steht."
;-)
GGG: LOL!
I second that LOL! ;)
LSS: that you could discern the Ardbeg wasn't that surprising but that you could decipher the Balvenie Double Wood borders on the miraculous!
